Job Summary:

The Business Operations Manager supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational standards across the organization’s hospitals. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, this role focuses on executing initiatives, supporting hospital leaders, coordinating cross-functional projects, and helping translate strategic priorities into practical, scalable processes.

This position plays a hands-on role in rollout execution, performance optimization, vendor coordination, and new hospital readiness. The Business Operations Manager partners closely with hospitals and cross functional teams to ensure operational consistency, adoption of new initiatives, and measurable improvements in efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Hospital Operating Model Support

Supports the design, development, documentation, and refinement of the hospital operating model, including workflows, role clarity, and standard operating procedures. Help create new operational approaches and programs, such as the Lovet Essentials Plan (LEP) and upcoming model enhancements, which call for fresh thinking and creative solutions rather than just improving what already exists. Maintain best practices and assist with updates based on performance trends and field feedback.

Initiative Implementation & Rollout

Assist in planning, piloting, and executing new operational initiatives. Build project timelines, track milestones, coordinate stakeholders, and support hospital readiness to ensure successful adoption.

Hospital Support & Field Enablement

Partner with hospital leaders to address operational challenges, provide structured problem-solving support, and help implement standardized processes. Identify recurring issues and escalate themes to the Director as needed.

Vendor Coordination

Support vendor onboarding, implementation, and ongoing performance tracking. Help ensure vendor tools and services are integrated into hospital workflows and aligned with operational standards.

Cross-Functional Project Support

Coordinate with Field Operations, Finance, Clinical, IT, HR, Learning & Development, Marketing, and Data & Analytics teams to support execution of cross-functional initiatives and serve as a consulted subject matter expert. Partner with both Lovet and The Aspen Group (TAG) teams to ensure initiatives are aligned, resources are shared effectively, and hospitals receive consistent support. Track dependencies, maintain communication, and ensure alignment between corporate teams and hospitals.

Growth & Scalability Support

Assist in operational planning for expansion efforts and support the execution of growth for new Denovo hospitals. Contribute to building scalable processes that support multi-site consistency.

Product & Service Operationalization

Partner with clinical and leadership teams to support the creation and rollout of new offerings, such as the Lovet Essentials Plans, new products, and new vendor partnerships. Develop the supporting resources needed for successful adoption, including workflows, documentation, training coordination, and readiness tracking.

Operational Performance Optimization

Analyze hospital KPIs and operational data to identify improvement opportunities. Support implementation of scheduling, utilization, and workflow optimization efforts.

Change Management & Adoption

Support hospitals through operational changes by reinforcing expectations, tracking adoption, and helping troubleshoot barriers to implementation.

New Hospital Launch Support

Supports the planning and execution of new hospital openings, including readiness checklists, workflow setup, coordination with internal teams, and transition into ongoing operations.

Project Oversight Support

Assist in tracking project timelines, identifying risks, and ensuring smooth transition from project phase to operational ownership.

Client Billing & Revenue Support

Assists hospitals with Client billing support, client account reconciliation assistance, and client collections support and coordination.

Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) Facilitation

Partner with the Director of Business Operations and the Clinical Leadership team to plan and facilitate MAC meetings. Support agenda development, prepare meeting materials, document decisions and action items, and follow up with cross-functional teams to ensure MAC recommendations are communicated and implemented consistently across the network.

Pricing & System Updates

Price and product updates, process and procedure documentation, and code maintenance in our PIMS and system updates.

What Success Looks Like

Successful execution and adoption of new initiatives improved operational consistency across hospitals, timely support for hospital leaders, accurate reporting and project tracking, creative solutions that move the organization forward, and well-coordinated new hospital launches that transition smoothly into stable operations.

What We Do

When we helped launch Aspen Dental, we set out to break down the barriers that made it hard for patients to keep up with their dental health — affordability, transparency, and access. We knew the key to better patient care started with the provider, so we changed how the dental business worked. We built new relationships, expertise, and tools to help dentists run their businesses more effectively and better care for their patients. Fast forward, and over 25 years later, we support more than 1000 Aspen Dental locations—by doing so, we are proud to say we have changed access to dental care nationwide. But there’s more work to do. Healthier, happier smiles were just our beginning. We came together to launch TAG – The Aspen Group, officially expanding beyond dental and embracing a new vision. By bringing together Aspen Dental, Chapter, ClearChoice, WellNow, and Lovet into one family of brands, we set out to achieve one simple goal together: to bring better healthcare to more people - because we believe in a future where health and wellness is accessible for all. With that mission in mind, TAG now supports over 5,300 clinicians across more than 1,400 locations. While our vision is now broader, how we achieve it remains the same. The best care starts with the provider - and TAG exists to power them so they can meet patients where they are, no matter their specialty, and deliver better care. Because we know that at the end of the day, better healthcare is simple — empower the provider and their teams, and the rest will follow. United as one group, we’re not just breaking down barriers; today, we’re breaking through. We’re challenging the status quo. Together, we can prove healthcare can be better for both providers and patients. Together, we can bring better healthcare to more people.

Why Work With Us

TAG - The Aspen Group employs and/or supports over 25,000 healthcare professionals and team members at more than 1,400 health and wellness offices across 46 states in four distinct categories: Dental care, urgent care, medical aesthetics, and animal health. Every day we wake up to empower providers to do what they do best: focus on the patient.
