Salary Range: $70,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience

Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking an experienced and highly organized Business Office Manager to join our outstanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a great company that values its employees and provides a supportive, team-oriented work environment.

The ideal candidate must have previous billing experience, strong knowledge of business office operations, and the ability to manage financial processes accurately and efficiently. Skilled nursing or long-term care experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the facility’s business office
  • Oversee resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash posting
  • Process Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, insurance, and private-pay billing
  • Verify resident insurance coverage and financial information
  • Monitor aging reports and promptly address outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate resident financial records and supporting documentation
  • Communicate with residents, families, insurance companies, and government agencies regarding billing matters
  • Assist with resident admissions and financial agreements
  • Process deposits and reconcile facility accounts
  • Prepare financial reports and meet established reporting deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Maintain the confidentiality of resident, employee, and financial information
  • Collaborate with facility leadership and department managers
Qualifications
  • Previous healthcare billing experience is required
  • Business Office Manager experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, insurance, and private-pay billing
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
