About the Role

The Business Manager will support the Head of London - Investment Management, Head of Regions - Investment Management and the Head of Advice in delivering agreed front office initiatives by coordinating activity, tracking progress and ensuring follow through. The role focuses on execution and momentum, helping initiatives move forward efficiently and highlighting issues early and to ensure alignment across business priorities will report to the Head of Business Execution & Responsible Investment. Key stakeholder groups alongside the Executive Committee will also be the Front Office teams; Operations; Risk & Compliance; Finance; Technology

This is a hands-on delivery role with the following responsibilities

Front Office Initiative Delivery

• Support the delivery of front office initiatives by coordinating actions, owners and timelines.

• Translate agreed priorities into clear tasks and next steps, ensuring progress is maintained.

• Monitor delivery against plans and raise risks, delays or dependencies with clear context.

Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work with front office teams and key partner functions (e.g. Operations, Risk, Finance, Technology) to gather inputs and support delivery.

• Ensure stakeholders are clear on expectations, actions and deadlines.

• Support alignment across teams involved in front office initiatives.

Reporting & Insight

• Produce clear, concise updates on initiative progress, issues and outcomes.

• Support preparation of materials for senior discussions, focusing on status, risks and required decisions.

• Provide basic analysis to support decision making and prioritisation.

Governance & Controls Support

• Support adherence to agreed governance and control requirements for front office initiatives.

• Maintain essential documentation and tracking to support transparency and auditability.

• Assist with responses to information requests related to initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve ways of working within front office initiatives.

• Support implementation of agreed process or delivery improvements.

Commercial Management

• Support tracking and interpretation of key business metrics including revenue, P&L, cost base and headcount

• Provide regular management information (MI) and insights to support decision making

• Identify trends, risks and opportunities within business performance

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes

• Drive transparency and accountability across financial and operational metrics

While not directly client-facing, this role contributes to good customer outcomes by supporting the effective delivery of front office initiatives, ensuring appropriate governance, and enabling informed decision-making aligned to client needs and regulatory expectations

About You

Essential

• Experience in a delivery, coordination, project support or junior business manager role.

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities with minimal supervision.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Advance Excel and report writing skills

• Experience supporting senior leadership and ExCo members

• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders in a professional, structured way, and proven ability to challenge constructively and influence outcomes

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret business performance data.

Desirable

• Exposure to front office or commercial environments.

• Experience in financial services or a regulated environment.

• Familiarity with initiative tracking or delivery frameworks.

• Understanding and appreciation of risks and controls.
