What is the opportunity?
As a Business Intelligence Engineer you will be responsible to deliver in an individual contributor role’s capacity. Here is a breakdown:

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience with Data Analytics & Engineering.
  • Design and develop interactive, insightful dashboards and reports using Tableau/Superset.
  • Strong Proficiency in SQL, Python.
  • Ability to work with large datasets using engines like Starburst/Trino/AWS Athena.
  • Exposure to AWS data stack (e.g., S3, Glue, Athena, EMR) and Apache Airflow
  • Strong communication skills & ability to translate business questions into data solutions.
  • Familiarity with Apache Iceberg or other table formats (Delta Lake, Hudi).
  • Experience with CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with data pipeline development using Apache Spark or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, or metadata management best practices.

  • Design and develop highly efficient code ensuring scalability, performance, security, and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Bengaluru, India
Location Type: Hybrid

This role offers a balanced arrangement, with the expectation of working 3 days a week in our local office and the flexibility to work from home for the remaining days. It is essential that you reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office location for the in-office workdays. 

Travel Expectations:  5% travel only if business demands.

This role will report to the Manager / Sr Manager running the central Data Engineering and Analytics Team. The Leadership team believes that investing in the development of team members creates the best teams. We are also action-biased and want to build a team of writers who try new ways of developing and delivering content. The team culture is one built on trust and mutual support.
