STV is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst, reporting to the IT Director of Business Systems. This position is designated as hybrid (3 days per week in office) and can be located within a commutable distance of any of our main office locations, preferably within the central or east co.
This is a critical role in supporting business growth by delivering accurate, actionable reporting and analysis across all business units and for executive leadership. This position supports the development of reports, dashboards, KPIs, and performance insights that guide strategic decision‑making and ensure healthy project performance.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Visualization
- Develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise reporting dashboards supporting project performance, financial management, and business development initiatives
- Create standardized reporting packages and deliver ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports
- Design and maintain semantic models, relationships, measures, and calculated columns using DAX
- Optimize Power BI models for performance, scalability, and reusability
- Collaborate with technical staff on deployment pipelines, data refresh strategies, and lifecycle management
Data Management & Analysis
- Extract, clean, validate, and analyze data from our ERP and related business systems to assess pipeline activity, win rates, sales cycle trends, and client behavior
- Perform financial and operational performance analysis, including KPI tracking, revenue and margin variance analysis, backlog and WIP reporting, forecasting support, and project health assessments
- Ensure data integrity by identifying inconsistencies, correcting gaps, and recommending process improvements across our ERP and reporting systems
Strategic Insights & Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Translate complex data findings into clear, concise insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Partner closely with business development, operations, finance, and support teams to understand reporting needs and deliver timely analysis
- Support strategic planning through ad‑hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and client insights that inform leadership decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in advanced reporting, business analytics, or financial analysis; AEC industry experience preferred
- Experience supporting financial reporting for professional services or project-based organizations
- Strong understanding of project accounting concepts (e.g., revenue, backlog, utilization, margin, WIP)
- Strong proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Proven experience with Power BI data modeling and DAX
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint)
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and Power Query
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with the capacity to interpret and clearly communicate complex data
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating ERP and large data sets into automated reporting workflows
- Familiarity with AEC project processes, reporting structures, and performance metrics
- Ability to develop and maintain data workflow technologies including SSIS, Data Factory (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques or SQL is a plus

Compensation Range:
