Job Summary
JOB SUMMARYThe Business Intelligence Analyst I provides reporting and analytics support to several Lines of Business. Primary responsibilities include the synthesis of information from multiple data sources into sophisticated BI solutions. Individual may often lead cross functional projects with multiple stakeholders in order to achieve the desired BI solution. Proficient in requirements gathering, data modelling, data mining, and BI solution development in support of highly visible, complex, multi-workstream operational processes. Customers are often Line of Business senior and executive management. Analyst has ability to work in a team and individual setting managing multiple priorities with very little management oversight. Technical proficiency is required in Excel, Access, Oracle SQL, Cognos, Power BI with exposure to other data governance and data management tools.
Job Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare reports, validate and reconcile reported results using corporate-wide data governance standards and reporting procedures.
- Develop requirements for reporting solutions based on interactions with Line of Business Stakeholders.
- Design and develop solutions using appropriate BI/Reporting tools in support of stakeholder requirements.
- Provide analytics to ensure clarity and context for reported results.
- Present reported results to appropriate level of management.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).
- Minimum experience required: 2+ Years performing business or financial analysis and minimum of 1 year Business Intelligence Software experience (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, etc.).
Job Competencies:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of data warehouse and data governance principles.
- Excellent technical and analytical skills.
- Strong strategic planning skills.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Access, Oracle SQL, Cognos, Power BI.
- Physical demands (ADA): No unusual physical exertion is involved.
