Applicants must be within driving distance to our Ridgeland, MS office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week.
A day in the life.
As a Business Insurance Training Leader, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end training lifecycle for all Business Insurance service team members, including new hire onboarding, role-specific training, and continuous professional development on AMS, ImageRight, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop, schedule, and coordinate ongoing continuing education classes to ensure team members remain current with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Author, revise, and deliver training on service team workflows, driving adoption and proficiency across the team.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate regular refresher sessions on policies, procedures, and best practices to reinforce compliance and operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain training strategy and instructional style guidelines to ensure consistent delivery across the region.
- Lead and participate in training sessions
- Back up and support Business Insurance trainers as needed
- Partner with regional business leaders to align training programs with regional initiatives and priorities.
- Collaborate with the business process team to identify process changes and translate them into timely training interventions.
- Review file audit and quality results to identify trends and target training needs and remediation.
- Create and maintain consistent onboarding and ongoing training pathways for new hires and existing staff, including role-based curricula and ramp milestones.
- Work with business process owners to identify and schedule relevant training topics for regular department meetings.
- Partner with subject matter experts to design practical training materials, job aids, and assessments.
- Assist with maintaining and updating the regional training playbook and core reference materials to reflect current processes and system changes.
- Serve as a trusted mentor and coach to BI service team members, fostering professional growth, skill development, and a high-performance mindset.
- Provide leadership in identifying individual and team training needs, recommending tailored development plans to enhance capabilities and career progression.
- Collaborate with management to support talent development initiatives, succession planning, and knowledge transfer within the BI service team.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability aligned with company values.
- Act as a liaison between training functions and business leaders to ensure alignment of training programs with strategic objectives and operational priorities.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Learning & Development, Business, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience in Commercial Insurance within an agency, broker, or carrier environment.
- 10 years of progressive agency client service experience, with demonstrated responsibility for training, development, or team leadership.
- Proven ability to present complex information effectively to diverse audiences across multiple skill levels; prior formal training or instructional design experience is highly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and impactful training materials.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficient knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM), agency management systems (AMS), and advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Smartsheet
