About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Head – Paper & Pulp Chemicals to lead and grow our
chemicals business catering to the paper and pulp industry. The ideal candidate will have strong
commercial expertise in specialty/process chemicals, with a proven track record of driving business
growth, managing key customer relationships, and expanding product portfolios within the paper & pulp
chemicals segment.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and execute the business strategy for the Paper & Pulp Chemicals vertical.
● Drive revenue growth, profitability, and P&L ownership.
● Develop and manage relationships with paper mills, OEMs, distributors, and key industry
stakeholders.
● Expand the portfolio of process and specialty chemicals used in paper and pulp manufacturing.
● Identify new business opportunities, supplier partnerships, and market segments.
● Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, and contract management.
● Collaborate with R&D, sourcing, and operations teams to deliver customer-specific chemical
solutions.
● Build and mentor a high-performing commercial team.
Preferred Background
● 7+ years of experience in Paper & Pulp Chemicals, Process Chemicals, Specialty
Chemicals, or Industrial Chemicals.
● Strong understanding of chemicals such as retention aids, sizing agents, strength additives,
coating chemicals, bleaching chemicals, defoamers, and water treatment chemicals used in
paper manufacturing.
● Proven experience in business development, key account management, and P&L leadership.
● Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Skills Required
- 12-20 years of experience in Paper & Pulp Chemicals, Process Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, or Industrial Chemicals
- Strong understanding of retention aids, sizing agents, strength additives, coating chemicals, bleaching chemicals, defoamers, and water treatment chemicals
- Proven experience in business development, key account management, and P&L leadership
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience expanding product portfolios, identifying supplier partnerships, and managing contracts
- Ability to collaborate with R&D, sourcing, and operations to deliver customer-specific chemical solutions
