Our Issuance team is responsible for structuring trades between multiple trading platforms and ensures funding and liquidity for Deutsche Bank’s clients across the bank.

Treasury Issuance brings together a top-ranked institutional sales force, world-class research with trading and structuring expertise across Foreign Exchange, Rates, Credit and Emerging Markets. It enables Deutsche Bank to respond to increasing automation, regulatory expectations and client demand for standardization and transparency in execution across fixed income, currency, and emerging markets.

The key objective of this role is to bridge the gap between the stakeholder’s needs and the technical delivery team, to help successfully deliver projects within this diverse and challenging environment.

The Business and Functional Analyst (BFA) will be heavily involved at all stages of the software delivery lifecycle, from initial scope definition and planning exercises to the detailed analysis and collaboration with the IT team, to deliver working software.

The Business and Functional Analyst will be required to work effectively with the Treasury Issuance team, Treasury Operations, Finance, the Product Owner and other Business and Functional Analysts, within the team, to successfully deliver the projects.

The role requires an enthusiastic problem solver, who delivers quality and cost-effective solutions, through the employment of excellent business analysis techniques, data analysis skills and functional domain knowledge.

 

Responsibilities

  • Defining and refining business cases in conjunction with business stakeholders and PO for the initial requirements
  • Challenging, capturing, and articulating requirements, according to the quality standards
  •  Maintaining and managing the product backlog to ensure priorities are agreed in line with the book of work
  • Pro-active in identifying cost effective solutions to business problems.
  • Acting as the voice of the client throughout the development process
  • Liaising with all parties involved (Treasury Issuance, Operations, Finance, IT delivery team), to ensure successful delivery.
  • Assisting and supporting QA and Engineering team
  • Ensuring agreed analysis deliverables are prepared, according to deadline of the projects.
  • Mediating and resolving issues, as and when they arise
  • Close co-operation with other teams in the Bank, to ensure strategic initiatives are leveraged.
  • Identifying areas where we can improve the analysis and delivery capabilities of the wider team.
  • Keeping aware of the latest industry trends and best practices, to improve the team efficiency
  • Documentation of requirements, processes and controls in Confluence and Jira

 

Skills

  • Higher education in Finance or Computer science field
  • Have strong Issuance and Finance knowledge
  • At least 7 years of professional expertise in the described role or similar
  • Outstanding analysis skills, comprising demonstrable experience of all aspects of analysis, such as business process modelling, use cases/ user story writing, data modelling
  • Experience in large IT project in the financial area, banking industry would be beneficial
  • Understanding financial products and keen to learn new technologies and to extend business domain knowledge
  • Ability to work with SQL (basic queries to validate data or assist testing), knowledge of API basics
  • Experience in stakeholder management and building excellent professional relationships
  • Experience in working with remote teams
  • Social and intercultural competence for the successful handling of all internal, external and international stakeholders, pronounced autonomy and initiative, good coordinator
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive
  • Problem-solving and ability to challenge requirements if unclear
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Language skills, fluence in English.
  • Prior experience working with Scrum practices and Agile software methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Excel)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate
  • Hands on Experience in leadership role
