Overview:

Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.


Summary

Mr. Greens is looking for a dynamic business developer to help gain better brand recognition and financial growth in the Houston area. This is an exciting opportunity to create action plans and sales strategies that will help us achieve our growth initiatives, including new customer acquisition and optimization.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential high volume clients.
  • Targeting large single unit accounts as well as multi-unit accounts (2–7-unit Groups)
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to identify high-value targeted leads.
  • Coach the sales team on what to look for out in the field when it pertains to this type of targeted client.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with executives.
  • Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.
  • Gather useful information from customer and competitor data.
  • Play a vital part in helping hit out weekly/monthly/annual sales goals.
  • Present a robust pipeline to your sales manager monthly with specific action steps for each prospect.
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
  • Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business.
  • Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
  • Track and report on the status of proposal components.
  • Conduct ongoing market research.
  • Work with the pricing department to create rate proposals.
  • Drive the end-to-end sales process.
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts.
  • Help with local marketing efforts (Food shows, customer facility tours, demo’s, POS organization, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability in business-to-business (B2B) sales and achieving sales goals.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies
  • Familiarity with the industry including equipment, logistics and supply-chain management.
  • Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients.
  • Must pass pre-employment Background and Drug screen testing.
  • Must live in Houston
