Business Development & Strategy Manager, US
The salary range for this position is between $105k and $145k.
Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience. The company also currently offers a Long-Term Incentive Plan (cash plan) of 15% base salary, and an annual performance bonus target of 15% base salary (subject to meeting plan requirements) and comprehensive benefits.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development & Strategy Manager plays a critical role in supporting the SVP, Business Strategy & Development in driving strategic planning, business development, and enterprise performance management initiatives across the U.S. organization. This role partners cross-functionally to evaluate growth opportunities, support transaction diligence and integration, and deliver data-driven insights that inform strategic decision-making. The position requires a strong blend of analytical rigor, project management, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and licensing (commercial, competitive, and financial assessments)
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs to inform business cases, forecasts, and resource plans
- Contribute to integration planning and execution, including Day 1 readiness and post-close activities
- Support post-deal integration through project management, synergy tracking, risk mitigation, and change initiatives
- Analyze portfolio and asset performance to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Synthesize data into actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and portfolio optimization
- Evaluate growth opportunities, including expansion, lifecycle management, and new initiatives
- Support development and execution of short- and long-term strategic priorities with cross-functional leaders
- Develop executive-level reporting (monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc analyses)
- Integrate data into clear, compelling insights and narratives for senior leadership
- Support internal communications on performance, priorities, and enterprise initiatives

- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field required Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with experience synthesizing complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and business case development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
- Ability to work effectively across functions and influence without direct authority
- High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and problem-solving mindset
- Career Experience
- 3+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, or commercial operations within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry
- Experience supporting business development transactions such as licensing, M&A, or partnerships, including diligence and integration
- Proven track record of analyzing business performance and delivering strategic insights in a healthcare or life sciences environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, medical, regulatory, and/or market access teams
- Demonstrated ability to project manage complex projects and drive execution across multiple stakeholders
- Experience preparing executive-level materials and supporting senior leadership decision-making
