JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for developing new accounts and expanding existing accounts and partnerships within Korea.
This role will primarily focus on promoting UL's industry-leading ULTRUS Chemical software tools and services, including:
  • Chemical Safety Regulation Database (ULTRUS ChemAdvisor)
  • SDS Authoring Software (ULTRUS WERCS Studio)

The target market will be the Korean chemical and related industries. Additionally, this position will leverage ULTRUS's comprehensive sustainability capabilities to deliver added value to clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify and pursue prospects through various lead-generation activities, including tradeshows, direct mail campaigns, advertising, cold calling key industry players, and referral programs.
  • Meet with prospects to understand their decision-makers, decision-making criteria, and business needs.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations for potential clients.
  • Present value propositions, address objections, prepare quotations, and close sales by securing client commitments.
  • Provide technical training to prospective customers and partners to ensure understanding and adoption of solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of software-related experience.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn, comfortable working in a dynamic, startup-style business environment.
  • Proven experience in B2B software, consulting, digital solutions, with technical or pre-sales expertise.
  • Prior experience in software/solution/services sales to the chemical or related industries is a plus; familiarity with compliance and regulatory topics is a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English.
  • Ability to travel for business and work outside the office as needed.
