The Business Development Specialist for LCL (Less-than-Container Load) is responsible for driving commercial growth and strengthening market presence in the freight forwarding business. This role focuses on developing new customers, expanding share of wallet with existing accounts, and promoting the company’s LCL product.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for the LCL product across key trade lanes.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, and key decision-makers.

  • Develop tailored solutions that highlight the benefits of the company’s LCL services

  • Conduct market research to analyze customer needs, competitor activities, and trade dynamics.

  • Monitor LCL market trends and provide insights for product positioning and competitive differentiation.

  • Work closely with pricing, procurement, and operations teams to design competitive LCL offerings.

  • Ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into operational execution.

  • Partner with marketing to develop promotional materials and specific campaigns

  • Manage sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and track progress against business targets.

  • Prepare reports and dashboards on customer acquisition, trade performance, and business opportunities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in sales processes and customer engagement.

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial engineer, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or international transportation; LCL experience is mandatory.

  • Solid understanding of freight forwarding operations (especially LCL consolidation, pricing, allocation, and trade lane management).

  • Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue growth targets.

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Commercial acumen with strong customer orientation.

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-driven approach.

  • Excellent communication and networking abilities.

  • Analytical mindset to evaluate opportunities and market potential.

  • English fluency.
