Your primary goal will be to promote our lending solutions as a strategic financing option for institutions and their students. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence.

Pay: Starting at $45k-55k 

This is a Full-time opportunity with a flexible schedule that includes some business hours.

Position Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating, qualifying, and following up on leads to support our school lending partnerships. This role is focused exclusively on outbound and inbound lead outreach—engaging prospective school contacts via email and phone to drive interest, set appointments, and move leads through the top of the sales funnel.

This is an ideal role for a motivated self-starter who thrives in a high-volume outreach environment and is comfortable having consultative conversations about education funding options.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Outreach
  • Execute daily outbound email and phone outreach to prospective partner school leads
  • Follow up with inbound leads generated from partner schools, marketing campaigns, and referrals
  • Conduct high-volume, professional outreach while maintaining personalization and compliance
Lead Qualification
  • Qualify leads based on interest, eligibility, and readiness
  • Ask discovery questions to understand education goals, program timelines, and financing needs
  • Accurately document qualifying information in the CRM
Follow-Up & Nurturing
  • Maintain consistent follow-up cadence through calls, emails, and voicemails
  • Re-engage dormant leads and nurture prospects until they are sales-ready
  • Schedule appointments or hand off qualified leads to the appropriate internal team
CRM & Process Adherence
  • Log all activities, notes, and outcomes in CRM systems
  • Maintain data accuracy and follow structured outreach workflows
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly outreach and qualification targets

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in education, finance, or SaaS.
  • Strong understanding of the higher education landscape and student financing models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with prospective partners.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with financial aid departments or education administrators.
  • Familiarity with third-party lending platforms or student loan products.
  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
