As a Business Development Representative in Malta, you will take a leading role in expanding our retail partner ecosystem and driving strategic merchant acquisition for the Wolt platform. You’ll be responsible for cultivating high-value relationships, delivering an exceptional client experience, and accelerating growth through data-driven sales strategies and close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

What you’ll be doingDay-to-day in this role you’ll:
  • Identify and evaluate high-potential retail partners that align with Wolt’s strategic objectives and market footprint.
  • Proactively and systematically manage a robust pipeline of prospective partnerships, ensuring consistent momentum and prioritization.
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with targeted retailers, leveraging performance insights to structure mutually profitable commercial terms and lead negotiations with key decision-makers.
  • Establish a strong communication framework in partnership with our Account Management and Onboarding teams to ensure seamless execution and long-term success.
  • Drive informed, strategic decision-making by complementing commercial intuition with data-driven analysis and market insights.
Our humble expectations

A background in field sales is a plus, but we can teach you the rest. We're looking for someone ambitious and excited to join us on this journey!

  • You have previous experience that consists of field Sales, business development, events/product management
  • A natural ‘hunter’ with hunger to build and create a portfolio from the ground up.
  • You are structured, detailed and service-oriented, and have experience working with data-driven sales processes.
  • You are a natural people-person, who enjoys building relationships with excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Outgoing and excellent interpersonal skills. You adapt your tone to suit the audience and can clearly advise and communicate the value of campaigns and other initiatives.
  • Persistent - you do not give up and get energy from working in a target-driven role and achieving your goals. High ownership and ambition to go beyond the obvious.
  • Commercial flair with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English (Maltese is a plus)
  • Driving license
