 About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Representative to join our team and play a critical role in generating qualified pipeline and support our sales team in pursuing opportunities within the federal sector and commercial markets. This role is critical to our growth strategy and offers significant opportunities for career advancement as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting including cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach
  • Research target accounts within our targeted commercial markets to understand their IAM needs and compliance requirements
  • Schedule qualified meetings with decision-makers at target organizations
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions in Pipedrive CRM
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead generation campaigns and messaging
  • Meet or exceed monthly quotas for qualified meetings and pipeline generation
  • Stay informed about federal compliance requirements (CMMC, FedRAMP, etc.) and how they impact prospect needs
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to build network and generate leads

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or similar role (cybersecurity or federal contracting experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage C-level executives and technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with consistent track record of meeting or exceeding goals
  • Comfortable with consultative sales approach and asking discovery questions
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Pipedrive experience a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to obtain security clearance is a plus
 

Location

This role is offered as a hybrid or remote position based out of our Sterling, VA office.

 

Salary

The base salary range for this position is between $65,000 - $75,000 depending on experience. This role is eligible for bonus and commission plans.
