Poker Power is a company led by women for women with the goal of teaching 1 million women+ how to play the game of poker. We believe that poker teaches us critical skills and strategies such as risk taking, capital allocation, negotiation, decision making and confidence in any scenario in business and in life. ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Business Development Associate at Poker Power will play a key role in expanding our impact by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential corporate clients, and executing business development initiatives. This position is perfect for a proactive and hands-on individual who excels in relationship building and can also execute tactical tasks to drive the success of our programs. You will collaborate directly with the Head of Business Development to support and implement strategies that enhance business growth and client satisfaction.
This position will be based in our NYC office and will work in a hybrid environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new leads through research, outreach, and engagement supporting the expansion of Poker Power's client base.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify leads by asking insightful questions and gathering relevant information and guide handoffs to maximize probability of conversion
- Sales Operations: Develop and execute tactical sales operations initiatives to achieve targets and deliver solutions to clients.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor and tailoring solutions to meet their needs
- KPI Tracking: Monitor and track progress against goals, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related field
- Proven ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Excellent communication, but orally and in writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Google Slides/PPT and Google Sheets/Excel

- Experience in high-growth, early-stage startup environments.
