Position Summary

As a Business Development Representative at Ingram Micro, you will play a key role in driving customer and vendor growth through Xvantage platform adoption, solution enablement, sales support, customer engagement, and pipeline development. This role focuses on maximizing platform utilization and delivering measurable outcomes for aligned customers and technology vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage Xvantage platform data to identify customer, vendor, pipeline, and business growth opportunities while increasing platform adoption and engagement.

  • Manage a portfolio of customers, serving as a technology solutions subject matter expert and trusted advisor.

  • Partner with sales teams to identify customer needs, support business development and pipeline growth, and recommend technology solutions.

  • Support pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, technical consultations, presentations, and proposal development.

  • Develop and deliver sales enablement materials and training to help customers, partners, and sales teams effectively adopt technology solutions and value-added services.

  • Identify opportunities for customer acquisition, upselling, cross-selling, upgrades, and expanded technology solutions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, reseller partners, and technology vendors while staying informed on product updates, market trends, and competitive offerings.

  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and technical teams, to deliver customer solutions and execute business growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Typically requires 2+ years of relevant functional experience.

  • Experience in technology sales, business development, solutions, channel sales, or a related technology-focused role.

  • Experience working with customers, reseller partners, vendors, or other channel stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of technology products, solutions, services, or platforms.

  • Strong verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to analyze information and use data to identify customer and business opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with technology distribution, IT solutions, cloud services, software, hardware, or channel partners.

  • Experience with platform-based technology solutions and digital marketplaces.

  • Experience supporting sales enablement, product training, customer acquisition, or pipeline development.

  • Knowledge of Xvantage or similar technology distribution and digital commerce platforms.

  • Experience working directly with technology vendors and reseller partners.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $49,500.00 - $79,200.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
