  • Compensation: CAD 50,000–60,000 annual salary + Commission (Subject to candidate's experience/location/expertise)

Title:  Business Development Representative- Outbound

Position Overview

The Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a key role in driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers through proactive outreach. This position is responsible for creating a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities for the Sales team by executing targeted outbound campaigns, building relationships with decision-makers, and articulating the value of our solutions.
This role is ideal for a high-energy, goal-oriented professional who thrives on prospecting, relationship-building, and turning curiosity into opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and engage potential leads through cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and other prospecting tools.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand the prospect’s business, pain points, and potential fit for the company’s solution.
  • Qualify leads against established criteria and schedule high-quality meetings or demos for Account Executives.
  • Maintain a consistent and structured cadence of outreach across assigned territories or verticals.
  • Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging, campaign strategy, and lead follow-up processes.
  • Track all activities and communications in the CRM (e.g.,Salesforce) with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for outbound outreach, qualified meetings, and pipeline generation.
  • Stay current with product updates, industry trends, and competitor activity to effectively position the solution.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade shows, virtual events, and industry functions as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or business development (preferably in SaaS or technology sales).
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
  • Confidence and resilience in cold calling and handling objections.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or Outreach.io.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a hunter mentality and results-driven mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
