We're entering a high-growth phase and are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to be a key driver of our growth engine. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Enterprise Account Executives, reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Sales, identifying engineering teams that are an ideal fit for AllSpice and getting meaningful exposure to the full sales cycle.
What You'll Do
Prospecting and Pipeline Generation
Leverage the latest AI tools to supercharge outbound prospecting and identify engineering teams that are a strong fit for AllSpice
Qualify new business opportunities from marketing leads, targeted company research, and networking within the engineering community
Maintain accurate records of interactions, leads, and progress in our CRM system
Close opportunistic deals within our growth segment (companies with 0 to 500 employees)
Outreach and Engagement
Engage potential customers through calls, emails, and social media to introduce AllSpice's value proposition
Schedule high-quality meetings for Account Executives and ensure smooth lead handoffs
Work closely with marketing and sales to develop targeted outbound campaigns
Market and Customer Intelligence
Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and target markets to identify new opportunities and sharpen your outreach
Navigate complex organizational structures to find the right engineering stakeholders and decision makers
Participate in ongoing training to develop your sales skills and deepen your product knowledge
What We're Looking For
At least one year of experience in a sales development or similar role
Genuine enthusiasm for how things work, whether in hardware, engineering, product design, or adjacent technical fields
A natural appetite for AI tools and using software to work smarter and faster
Curiosity and persistence in working through unstructured problems and complex org charts to find the right people
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a knack for building relationships quickly
Self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment
Bonus Points
Experience in a startup or early-stage tech environment
Exposure to the hardware industry or experience working alongside hardware engineering teams
Familiarity with MEDDIC or MEDDPICC qualification methodology

What if we could design hardware with the ease and speed of software? AllSpice is building the first ever developer-led platform for collaborating on and seamlessly validating hardware designs. The world around us is enabled by novel circuit designs. Consider the seemingly trivial act of hailing a taxi from the comfort of your home. This simple process (for you) relies on a 3 million light-emitting diode display with a user interface that is logically routed to a capacitive sensor capable of tracking your finger at sub-millimeter resolution, an antenna capable of transmitting to a radio tower kilometers away at a rate of 20 Gb/s, repeated 35,000 km to a satellite, which is able to use it’s own integrated sensors and drivers to maintain geosynchronous orbit over decades without human interference. The infrastructure we've taken for granted wasn't designed overnight and isn't staying put. It's constantly evolving to enable the next generation of life-changing products. But this evolution is currently hamstrung by incumbent and proprietary development infrastructure built for waterfall project management (mostly in the 90s), requiring manual pdf exports, emails, and in-person meetings at each design revision. The next generate of human innovation, like putting the first human colonies on Mars, requires a step-change in how hardware designs are managed. At AllSpice, we've experienced this problem as hardware engineers and we've seen the solutions as software leaders.
