Candidates should have fintech or payments sales experience, strong writing skills, familiarity with cross-border money movement, and daily experience using AI prospecting tools.
Summary Generated by Built In

Every person and every business connected to the Global Financial Internet. Built on Mural.

That's the world Mural is building. This role is one of the hands on the brush.

About Mural

Mural is regulated financial infrastructure across the US and Latin America. The whole stack, one partner. Companies build cross-border financial products on us using our API. We carry the licenses, the compliance, and the failure states, so they go live in weeks instead of months. Under the hood, fiat and blockchain run as one system. Their customers never see any of it. Money comes in, money goes out, and it just gets there.

We've processed over $2 billion across US dollar, stablecoin, and international rails. That includes USDC and USDT on major blockchains, ACH and wire in the US, and local rails across Latin America and Europe (PIX, SPEI, Bre-B, CBU/CVU, SEPA). Customers include Deel, Bolt, Opera, Koywe, Taxdome, Uniswap, Movii, and more. We've raised our Series A. And we're an AI-native company. Agentic tools are how we build, operate, and scale.

The Role

Stablecoins are becoming the rails for global money movement, but most companies don't yet know how to adopt them. Somebody has to start that conversation, and start it well.

As one of Mural's first Business Development Representatives, you're the first human a future customer meets. You'll run the top of our funnel alongside our founders and Account Executives: finding the companies that need us, earning their attention, and handing our AEs conversations that are worth their time. We've built an AI-powered GTM engine that finds the right accounts and flags the right moments. Your job is to take that signal and turn it into a real relationship. Machines find, humans send.

The number you own: qualified meetings booked.

What You'll Do
  • Book meetings that matter, not calendars full of maybes. Qualify every inbound and outbound lead against our ICP and hand AEs an economic buyer with a real cross-border problem, a reason to act now, and the context they'd otherwise have to dig up themselves.

  • Know our ICP better than it knows itself. Consumer fintechs, workforce and creator payout platforms, B2B fintechs, and travel platforms. Learn how money actually moves for a payroll company paying contractors in Brazil or a fintech offering USD accounts in Argentina, so your first message names their problem before they do.

  • Let AI do the digging, then write it yourself. Use Mural's agentic teammate, alongside tools like Clay and Claude, to research accounts, map warm paths, catch triggers like funding rounds, payments job postings, and new-market launches, and draft first touches. Then you edit, personalize, and hit send on every message. No spray-and-pray. No mass email.

  • Lead with warmth, not volume. Go through the warmest path first (mutual connections, investor intros, people engaging with our content, conference hallways), then go cold with care. Write like a person, call like a person, and follow up like someone who actually wants to help.

  • Run the daily loop without being asked. Source, qualify, touch, log, book, hand off. Every day, across phone, email, LinkedIn, and in person at events like Stablecon and Money20/20.

  • Be the feedback loop for the whole GTM and Growth team. Log every touch, track what gets replies, and bring back what you hear in the field (objections, competitor mentions, new use cases) to sharpen our messaging. You'll help write the BDR playbook, not just follow it.

  • Own one number: qualified meetings booked. That is the metric you own and are measured on. A qualified meeting is an ICP-fit economic buyer or champion with a real cross-border problem, accepted by the AE. Not dials, not sends, not activity.

What You'll Need
  • 2 to 4 years as a BDR/SDR (or similar quota-carrying role) in fintech or payments, with a track record at or near the top of the leaderboard.

  • Working fluency in how money moves: cross-border payments, FX, payouts, treasury, or stablecoins. You can hold your own with a CFO or a Head of Payments.

  • You're hungry and tenacious. You don't take the first "no" as final, you follow up with something new every time, and you never let a good lead go quiet.

  • You already use AI tools every day to work faster, and you know where they stop and your judgment starts.

  • Strong writing. Your outbound sounds like a smart person talking to another smart person, not a template.

  • You thrive in early-stage ambiguity: no perfect process, high ownership, outsized impact.

Nice to Haves
  • Spanish or Portuguese, and familiarity with LatAm business culture.

  • Experience selling API or infrastructure products to technical and finance buyers.

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Clay, or similar prospecting tools.

How We Work

We run on three principles.

2% better, every day. One percent for yourself, one percent for the people around you.

Telos. From the Greek word telos, meaning not just done but fulfilled. Everyone here is focused on one mission and knows each other's Telos.

Build. We are a company of builders, across engineering, compliance, and sales. We build, we learn, we evolve, but we are always building.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base plus uncapped commission

  • Meaningful early-stage equity

  • Health insurance

  • 401(k)

  • Visa sponsorship available

Location

New York City. Relocation supported. Open to traveling for conferences and customer meetings.

We named this company Mural because murals have always told the story of a community. They are made by hand, made together, painted onto the foundations of a place, and meant to outlast the people who started them. Every person who joins brings a new piece.

Now let's build a force of nature business, together.
