Team Global Express is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our WA Sales team based at our Perth Airport depot. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the fundamentals of business development, work alongside experienced sales professionals, and develop the skills needed to become a future sales and commercial leader.
We're not looking for extensive sales experience. We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, resilience, a willingness to learn, and the drive to succeed.

About the Role
As an Emerging Sales Professional, you'll work closely with our experienced sales team to identify opportunities, build customer relationships, and develop the commercial skills required to thrive in a business development environment.
This role is ideal for someone looking to launch their career in sales, business development, or commercial management within one of Australia's leading transport and logistics businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and engage prospective customers across Western Australia
Support the development and management of new business opportunities
Conduct market and industry research to uncover growth opportunities
Build confidence in prospecting, networking, and relationship development
Assist with sales presentations, customer proposals, and client meetings
Develop an understanding of transport, logistics, and supply chain solutions
Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in Salesforce
Collaborate with operational teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
Participate in structured training and professional development programs
What We're Looking For
A qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Communications, or a related field is desirable
A genuine interest in sales, business development, and customer relationships
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence engaging with new people and building rapport
A positive attitude and growth mindset
Resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to challenge yourself
Strong organisational and time-management skills
A proactive approach and eagerness to learn
Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, sport, volunteering, or leadership activities will be highly regarded

Skills Required
- Strong background in freight, logistics, transport, supply chain, or related sectors
- Proven track record as a new business hunter who consistently exceeds targets
- Experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Acquisition roles
- Confidence in cold calling, prospecting, and converting leads
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating high-value deals
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- A resilient, driven, and energetic mindset with a passion for winning
