The Role
The Business Development Manager will spearhead B2B sales in areas like Defence and Media, focusing on customer relationships and solution selling.
Summary Generated by Built In

Our corporate philosophy, Kyosei - living and working for the common good - is strongly embedded in our Nordic/Baltic organisation. Even though we are geographically spread across hundreds of kilometers, we collaborate closely and effectively.

In this role, you will take ownership of your own planning and manage your schedule in alignment with your manager - but you will never work in isolation. Success here is built on relationships: with customers, with channel partners, and with your team across the Nordics and Baltics.

We are looking for a motivated professional who shares our values. You will be part of a B2B sales team of seven - five Business Development Managers, one Key Account Manager, and one Sales Manager - embedded within a wider Nordic and Baltic organisation of around 70 people spanning Sales, Marketing, and Service across eight markets.

Each team member brings a different background - some with deep imaging and technology expertise, others with strong B2B solution-selling experience. What we share is a passion for helping customers succeed and a commitment to perform together.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sales responsibility across Defence, Media, Education and Public Sector - engaging with organisations and the professionals within them
  • Deepen and expand relationships within an established customer portfolio - identifying where Canon can add more value, enter new departments, or support evolving needs
  • Develop a genuine understanding of how your customers can use imaging - whether to document, capture, or tell their story - and translate that into the right solution
  • Develop new customer relationships and business opportunities
  • Product portfolio: Canon EOS R System cameras and RF lenses, Cinema EOS cameras, PTZ products and solutions
  • Geographical responsibility: Denmark, Faroe Islands and Greenland
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, end users, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborating with Canon channel partners and colleagues across the Nordics and Europe
  • Maintain and develop your technical and imaging industry knowledge, supported by Canon’s specialist teams

Qualifications

We are looking for someone curious, structured, and genuinely motivated by building long-term customer relationships. You do not need to have worked in the imaging industry before - what matters is your approach.

  • Proven experience in B2B sales - whether from a technical or solution-selling background
  • Strong ability to build trust and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder customer environments
  • A proactive, structured approach to planning and follow-through
  • Excellent communication skills - you listen well, ask good questions, and explain clearly
  • An interest in imaging applications - understanding how organisations and professionals can use cameras and video to document, capture, and communicate - is an advantage and will become increasingly relevant as we develop our business
  • Fluent in written and spoken Danish and English
  • Comfortable working with data to track activity and inform decisions
  • Degree-level education is a plus, but not required - we value relevant experience equally

How we work
This is a customer-facing role. You will travel regularly to meet customers across Denmark. Canon Denmark operates a 2/5 hybrid policy - a minimum of two days per week in the office to enable team collaboration.

About us
At Canon, we have a strong culture rooted in our Japanese Kyosei philosophy: we work and succeed together - always with a focus on the greater good. We are characterized by a high level of helpfulness, a strong team spirit, and a workday that leaves room for both professionalism and a good sense of humor. At the same time, we work purposefully towards ambitious performance targets.

Our culture is defined by an open and inclusive feedback approach, where we continuously strive to develop both ourselves and each other. It is important that you can see yourself in this mindset and thrive in an environment focused on collaboration and development.

We offer a working environment where curiosity and initiative are encouraged - with the space to try new things locally, regionally, and in close collaboration with our EMEA colleagues.

What we offer
The compensation package consists of a fixed salary along with an attractive commission scheme and includes pension, health insurance, company car, lunch scheme, PC, mobile phone, and internet.

Canon is committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. We strongly encourage applications from all qualified candidates - regardless of gender, age, background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or ethnicity.

If you have any questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the Sales Manager Joonas Schwartzberg by email: [email protected].

Please submit your application via the application function no later than 31 May 2026. Applications are reviewed continuously.

We look forward to hearing from you!
