Position Title: Business Development Manager, Advanced Technologies (AdTech)

Division/Region/Location: Performance Products, Korea

Reports to: Global Commercial Head, AdTech

Purpose of Position

Responsible for identifying and commercializing sizable, new growth opportunities for the AdTech business with a focus on the semiconductor industry.  The AdTech Business Development Manager will scale the business profitably by scoping new targets in line with the Huntsman business model of selling our new products, current offer, purifying new materials, and purifying and packaging as a service.

Principal Accountabilities

New Business Growth

  • New Business Development: Fully accountable for converting growth targets from concept to commercialization and developing new businesses to expand the AdTech portfolio. Responsible for building and managing a qualified opportunity pipeline (prospecting, lead generation, customer engagement), defining value propositions, and driving activation of each opportunity. Identify, prioritize, and convert new growth according to business needs for asset utilization and growth objectives, including cross-sell/up-sell opportunities within existing accounts and new customer acquisition. Coordinate and cooperate with the Korea & APAC Region on global accounts.
  • Resource Management: Actively manage the required workstreams to commercialize each concept.  This includes identifying the appropriate internal and external resources and technologies required to activate opportunities.  Work closely with the AdTech Marketing and R&D Team to ensure full coordination with the strategic business direction.
  • EHS, Quality, Compliance: The AdTech Business Development Manager will ensure that all work is carried out in full alignment with Huntsman EHS, quality, and corporate compliance requirements.

 Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience in converting opportunities from concept to commercialization in the semiconductor industry
  • University degree in a business or technical discipline; an MBA is a plus
  • At least 10-years combined experience in production or R&D, Product Development, and Sales or Marketing
  • At least 3 years of experience in Semiconductor, OSAT packaging, display or related industrial activity
  • Global work experience across a matrix organization is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to high level stakeholders
  • Team player as well as ability to have an objective critical view
  • Fluency in English

Problem Solving

  • Candidates must ensure that product initiatives are aligned with the AdTech business strategy.
  • Work with significant independence; line management would be consulted for only general guidance or particularly complex problems.

Accountability

  • The incumbent is expected to work in a matrix organization with a high level of self-steering and self-motivation
  • Leadership is exhibited in nearly every aspect of the job – safety, business strategy, technical direction, general management, development of staff, etc.
  • The level of interactions will include senior level stakeholders internally within Huntsman as well as project team members
