How you’ll help us make health happen
- Build and maintain strong client relationships within a portfolio, ensuring win / win relationships and requirements of clients are delivered within Bupa Global’s operational capacity and risk appetite.
- To achieve new business’ sales targets for direct/agent and brokers group products.
- To serve direct clients, agents/brokers and maintain good relationship with them with the aim to build up a strong customer base with direct clients, agents/brokers.
- To identify business opportunities and generate potential sales enquiries.
- To prepare proposals and presentation materials as well as handling enquiries and complaints.
- To update management on the business status through sales report.
- To collect market intelligence on competitors’ activities including competitors’ products, pricing, catalogues, selling tactics, etc.
- To develop and review marketing materials, e.g., training materials, staff briefing materials, etc.
- To perform underwriting according to the Company’s guidelines and within authorized limits.
- To assist and participate in new product and market development.
- Remain up to date with Bupa Global’s propositions to be able to provide advice on the most appropriate cover options for clients, including strong relationships with pricing and marketing.
Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role:
- A background in the global health insurance market, or relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other financial services industries such as Life Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management
- An excellent capacity to organise workflows and to work with others where necessary
- Commercial acumen and strong leadership to enable robust proposals to be developed that deliver customer, partner and business value whilst working under pressure in a highly competitive market
- Excellent interpersonal, social, communication and presentation skills are required to build client and broker relationships, with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes.
- A track record of achieving and exceeding targeted business results/KPIs.
- An understanding of risk and pricing strategy to ensure that each customer is managed profitably and in line with risk appetite
- Fluency in English and Cantonese. Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
