We are looking for a Business Development Manager to identify sales opportunities, promote Lalamove’s services to new clients, and build strong relationships with key contacts. Your role will be to achieve and exceed individual sales targets by proactively generating leads, presenting tailored solutions, and maintaining a healthy pipeline of potential clients.

What we seek:

  • Salesmanship: Proven track record in sales, including prospecting and qualifying leads, building strong client relationships, and consistently following up on new business opportunities. Demonstrated hunter mindset with a proactive approach to generating new business.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills: Ability to analyse sales data to identify gaps and areas for improvement, and to report actionable management insights. Skilled at refining and building sales processes to boost team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Managerial Skills: Solid understanding of consultative selling, particularly within service-based industries, with the ability to coach and support the team to achieve both input and output KPIs.
  • Door-to-Door Sales Expertise: Proven experience in door-to-door sales with a strong hunter mindset and proactive approach to acquiring new clients.
  • SME & Local Business Engagement: Track record of successfully engaging and building lasting relationships with SMEs and local businesses.
  • Willingness to Travel: Comfortable with frequent travel to meet prospects and clients face-to-face and expand market reach.

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales management; experience in startups or the logistics industry is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field from a reputable institution
  • Strong problem-solving abilities combined with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, take initiative, and own results
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in both German and English
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and systems is an advantage
