About the Role:

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of Brandt Finance across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with sales leadership, finance partners, and strategic customers, you will develop finance programs, identify growth opportunities, and support the continued expansion of our finance offerings. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead/oversee the development of both internal and external finance programs for all product lines with the participation of the various Brandt sales executives.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to the Brandt Finance team on future opportunities and competitive pressures.
  • Manage and develop Retail Finance Managers and assist with developing various Brandt Finance personnel to build a motivated and successful workforce focused on long-term success for the company, customers and employees.
  • Work with the Brandt Finance and sales teams to identify and acquire strategic customers.
  • Achieve sales and market share goals, as agreed, for the long-term success of Brandt Finance.
  • Gather and monitor competitive intelligence from the marketplace to ensure Brandt Finance is providing superior products.
  • Support Equipment Sales.
  • Develop sound, positive relationships with both internal and external clients.

What You'll Bring: 

  • Ideally 10+ years of experience in equipment finance, commercial finance, or a related industry, including experience in senior leadership roles
  • Extensive experience in equipment finance, commercial finance, or a related industry
  • Proven leadership experience in progressively senior management roles
  • Strong commercial acumen and business development capabilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions
  • Ten plus years of direct equipment finance-related experience in progressively senior management roles required.
  • A willingness to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand
