What You Will Be Doing
CIBC Global Asset Management (CIBC GAM) is one of Canada's largest asset management firms in Canada. You will be part of a dynamic team in your role as a Business Development Manager. You will work with National Asset Specialist Team to increase market share with existing clients while incrementally developing new business relationships. Your sales activity will be both virtual and in person where appropriate as determined by events and activities within the territory. You will also support the growth and development of Personal Portfolio Services with custom proposals and continued servicing of existing holdings to advisors. You will have access to CIBC Asset Management, Personal Banking and Imperial Service planning tools (CapIntel, Morningstar Adviser, Smart Planner, CIBC Goal Planner, ECRM, Allego) to facilitate advice and investment plans. You will assist the National Asset Specialist team to manage sales capability development activities and support investment plans & proposals across various groups in Retail Markets and multiple business areas to ensure efficiency, consistency, and a national view in the support provided to the field.

How You Will Succeed
Business Development: Prospect for new business with Advisors in your territory through contacts and regular follow-ups.
Product Knowledge: Ensure full knowledge of GAM current product and market trends including product/portfolio features, benefits, and investment strategies. Periodically deliver product information and business development tools with Advisors.
Relationship Building: Strengthen existing business relationships to consistently meet sales target.
Collaboration - Work with entire Asset Specialist Team to deliver activity at all levels – at the advisor, segmentation, territory, calendar and events level.
Solution provider - To advisors by asking great questions to uncover a need and then present a compelling product solution. Deliver solution information, Portfolio Manager insights, Point of Sales Tools, Portfolio level analysis. The role contributes to the effectiveness of the Investment sales force by providing product expertise, investment proposal support and investment advice capability.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience in. You have experience in sales within the mutual fund/wealth management industry (an asset). You are knowledgeable and have an interest of current trends in the broker/dealer industry, bond and capital markets
You are passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships, and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You build trust through respect and authenticity.
You are a certified professional. You have current/past accreditation and good standing with Mutual Funds (MF) and/or Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
You can demonstrate experience in Salesforce (ECRM), Excel, Power BI, Microsoft 365.
You have a degree in. You have a degree in Finance/Business/Economics or a related field.
You're fluent in English. It’s an asset if you’re fluent in French.
