We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition and revenue growth within the commercial interiors and commercial fit-out sector. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, developing proposals, and converting qualified opportunities into successful projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to manage the complete business development cycle. You will work closely with clients, architects, consultants, project teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to create and convert opportunities that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies for commercial interiors and fit-out projects.
- Identify new prospects across corporate, commercial, real estate, workplace, hospitality, and related segments.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified business opportunities.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, industry events, digital channels, and direct outreach.
- Develop relationships with corporate decision-makers, architects, consultants, developers, facility managers, and project stakeholders.
- Conduct client meetings, discovery discussions, presentations, and site visits to understand project requirements.
- Identify project scope, timelines, budgets, decision-making processes, and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with design, estimation, and project teams to develop suitable solutions and proposals.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, capability presentations, and project submissions.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and follow-ups with prospective clients.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to opportunity qualification and closure.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, proposals, follow-ups, and closures in CRM or business-development systems.
- Track sales targets, pipeline value, conversion rates, and business development performance.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and emerging opportunities within commercial interiors and fit-outs.
- Develop long-term relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Coordinate with internal teams during project handover to ensure smooth transition from sales to execution.
- Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and business forums to strengthen market presence.
- Identify strategic accounts and develop account-specific plans to increase revenue opportunities.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market insights to leadership.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve lead generation, sales conversion, and overall business development effectiveness.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, or a related commercial role.
- Strong experience in commercial interiors, commercial fit-outs, workplace solutions, construction, architecture, or turnkey project sales.
- Proven track record of generating leads, managing sales pipelines, and converting opportunities into projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial interior and fit-out project lifecycles.
- Existing relationships with corporate clients, architects, consultants, developers, facility managers, or commercial real estate stakeholders will be an advantage.
- Strong ability to understand client requirements and translate them into commercially viable solutions.
- Experience preparing proposals, quotations, presentations, and commercial submissions.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, presentation, and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
