We are looking for an experienced and target-oriented Business Development Manager (Counselling) to lead our counselling and business development team. The candidate will be responsible for driving course admissions, managing prospective students, achieving revenue targets, and guiding the counselling team to consistently meet business goals.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication, sales, leadership, negotiation, and student counselling skills, along with experience in the EdTech, Education, Training, or related industry.
- Lead and manage the Academic Counselling / Business Development team.
- Drive monthly and quarterly admission and revenue targets.
- Counsel students and working professionals regarding suitable courses, career opportunities, and learning paths.
- Handle high-value and priority leads and support the team in closing difficult prospects.
- Monitor leads from enquiry to conversion and ensure effective follow-ups.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve lead conversion and revenue generation.
- Track individual counsellor performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Conduct daily/weekly sales reviews and monitor team KPIs.
- Identify gaps in the sales funnel and take corrective actions.
- Maintain strong relationships with prospective students and ensure a positive counselling experience.
- Coordinate with the Marketing, Academic, Operations, and Training & Placement teams to improve the overall student acquisition process.
- Prepare and share regular reports on leads, conversions, revenue, follow-ups, and team performance.
- Ensure proper and timely updates of CRM/lead management systems.
- Train team members on counselling techniques, objection handling, negotiation, and closing.
- Handle escalations and resolve student/parent queries related to admissions and courses.
- Explore new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue channels.
- Ensure the team follows company policies, sales processes, and ethical counselling practices.

- Candidates with proven experience in team handling and revenue generation will be given preference.
