Job Description

The position requires the person to sell the products and services that our customers have grown to rely on. The role needs a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The Business Development Manager will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. They will be tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and attending trade shows, it’s essential that our they be personable and professional.

Qualifications: Strong technical background or former mechanic

Experience: Experience as a Business Development Manager in trade-based business

Key Accountabilities

Health and Safety

  • Lead and role model a culture of zero harm through effective risk management and consultation with your team regarding all health and safety matters (for people leaders)
  • Ensure your safety and the safety of those around you by complying with all safe work practices, policies, procedures and instructions (for all roles)
  • Ensure all staff have the relevant level of skill, training and accreditation for required work
  • Accurate and up to date records kept for all HSE requirements

Role Objectives

  • Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding and following with market intelligence to identify how our solutions meet needs
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales budgets through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
  • Generate leads and build relationships planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets
  • Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field

Daily and Monthly Tasks

  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling
  • Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations
  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations
  • Coordinate with other sales staff to ensure company budgets and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring

Technical Advice

  • Provide accurate concise and timely resolution for all customer issues
  • Work with and support the Burson Network and contractors
  • Always aim to provide resolution for customers
  • Build brand value for Precision Automotive and products through best in industry sales support

Client liaison

  • Ensure customer satisfaction for both new clients and existing
  • Engage internal stakeholders where necessary to provide ultimate levels of customer service
  • Lead a culture of customer service for the branch team and ensure they provide the expected level of service in all interactions
