Tru Inc is seeking a Business Development Manager. We have one (1) permanent position available for an immediate start. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Location:-
This role is hybrid, providing some flexibility to work from home. However, candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and be prepared to attend in-person meetings as required. Occasional travel to client sites, events, or conferences may also be necessary.
Position Overview:-
We want you to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success! This is a pure outbound business development role focused on identifying opportunities, engaging with new prospects, and helping drive pipeline growth. The ideal candidate thrives on creating connections, turning interest into qualified opportunities, and supporting the revenue team in building Tru’s presence across North America.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Build and maintain highly targeted prospect lists aligned to Tru’s ideal client profile across priority verticals such as retail, e-commerce, and automotive.
- Research accounts and contacts to personalize outreach and uncover entry points into organizations.
- Execute high-volume, high-quality outbound outreach via cold calling, email sequences, and LinkedIn to secure meetings with senior decision-makers.
- Follow up on leads from conferences, events, webinars, and partner referrals to convert them into active conversations.
- Manage the early sales funnel in HubSpot, ensuring all touchpoints and stages are accurate and up to date.
- Book and coordinate qualified meetings, providing the CRO with concise briefs and background information.
- Track and report on outreach activity, results, and insights from the field to optimize strategies and improve conversion.
What You’ll Bring (Including Experience):-
- 4-5 years of experience in outbound-focused roles such as BDR, SDR, or Business Development Manager, ideally in digital, SaaS, consulting, or marketing technology.
- Proven track record of generating opportunities and booking meetings through cold outreach, not just handling inbound leads.
- Confident on phone and video calls, with strong written communication skills for sharp, relevant emails and LinkedIn messaging.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms, and familiarity with sales engagement tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Highly organized, resilient, and motivated by clear targets, pipeline health, and winning new logos.
- Genuine interest in digital, AI, and evolving commerce and customer experience trends.
Salary Range:- $80,000-$100,000
