In the Business Development Manager position, you’ll drive growth by converting underdeveloped and non-buying Senior Living accounts into active customers. Focused on strategic prospecting and consultative selling, you’ll identify opportunities, close new business, and seamlessly transition qualified accounts to the Account Management team for ongoing relationship growth and support.

What You’ll Do and Impact:  

  • Drive new revenue growth by prospecting underdeveloped accounts and closing new business opportunities within the Senior Living market through phone- and digital-based outreach. 

  • Build strong relationships with key decision makers—including executives, administrators, and purchasing managers—by delivering value-driven conversations and personalized solutions. 

  • Use predictive buying data, real-time analytics dashboards, and world-class digital sales tools to identify customer needs, consult on product and service solutions, and support customers' business objectives. 

  • Execute data-informed growth strategies to increase sales across your territory and expand the adoption of digital sales channels. 

  • Mobilize and coordinate internal teams to rapidly address customer needs, solve problems, and deliver a responsive customer experience. 

  • Ensure a seamless transition of newly converted accounts to the Account Management team for ongoing relationship development and support. 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to manage customer inquiries related to product selection, financing, safety, and compliance. 

  • Develop a deep understanding of Senior Living operations, including budget cycles, care levels, regulatory processes, and the roles that influence purchasing decisions. 

  • Support additional initiatives or projects as assigned by the Sales Manager. 

 

Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 2+ years of successful sales experience, with demonstrated success executing prospecting strategies to grow underdeveloped accounts. 

  • Willingness to be flexible with schedule to meet the demands of our customers; future job opportunities in sales may require travel 

 

Additional Items of Interest: 

  • Experience selling software, technology, or digitally-enabled solutions 

  • Familiarity with predictive analytics tools or data-driven selling strategies 

  • Interest in future career growth into outside sales roles, including potential travel opportunities
