This role is responsible for finding, nurturing and closing new business prospects and selling a variety of
products to new clients. You will use your relationship, client management and negotiation skills to grow
our client base by approaching new clients by telephone and email, planning and preparing presentations
and communicating our product offering.

Working closely with Content, Production, Marketing and Operations teams, you will execute sales strategies for allocated events, selling high-value sponsorship solutions to corporate organisations, professional services firms and industry suppliers. You will use strong relationship management, commercial acumen, negotiation skills and AI-powered tools to enhance prospecting, client engagement, market research, sales productivity and revenue performance.
Key Accountabilities
• Develop strong relationships with sponsors and clients to secure new business, renewals, upselling opportunities and long-term partnerships.
• Develop and implement sales plans and go-to-market strategies to maximise sponsorship revenue and achieve targets.
• Create tailored sponsorship packages aligned to client objectives and commercial goals.
• Generate new business through research, networking, referrals, outreach campaigns and client meetings.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and proposal development through negotiation, contracting and account management.
• Develop strong cross-functional relationships with Production, Marketing, Operations, Editorial or Finance.
• Develop and share market knowledge to enhance client experience, product development and commercial performance.
• Leverage AI tools and data-driven insights to improve prospecting, pipeline management, client engagement and sales effectiveness.
• Update Salesforce CRM so sales activity, pipeline and forecasts accurately reflect opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
• Ensure contracts are signed and orders are processed in accordance with company procedures and compliance requirements.
• Identify new commercial opportunities, partnership models and market trends to support business growth.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
• Excellent negotiation, consultative sales, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, forecasting and pipeline management skills using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Demonstrated ability to utilise AI tools to improve productivity, sales execution and business outcomes.
• International outlook and willingness to travel across Asia-Pacific and internationally as required.
• Ability to self-motivate and demonstrate resilience in a competitive sales environment.
• Experience of mentoring or coaching a junior sales team member
