What you get to do

Since launching to market in 2019, Athena has settled over $5.8bn of home loans. This has been achieved with a strong brand and excellent direct to consumer channel approach. Over the past 12 month Athena has been building out market leading capability to win in the broker channel. And now we are looking for an excellent BDM to help us build and maintain great relationships with brokers in VIC. 

 

We believe in the broker channel and we want a BDM that will help make us the best lender to work with!

 

This is a key role within Athena, the position is responsible for:

  • Sales Performance – Responsible for Application results across Athena's Broker network. 
  • Being the” go to person” for your Brokers
  • Building and maintaining outstanding Broker relationships
  • Proactively managing a pipeline of Broker scenarios and submitted Application, constantly striving for the ultimate Broker & Customer Experience.
  • Seeking out new Broker relationships, nurturing these relationships until they become vocal advocates for Athena; true raving fans. 
  • You are a great presenter and a “coach”. Running interactive Broker onboarding sessions to provide in depth knowledge of Athena, who we are, what we do, the Customers that are right for Athena, our product & process.
  • You are very engaging over phone, SMS, email and Zoom. Majority of the time will be on the road for Broker face-to-face visits, PD days, Broker events etc.
  • Manage relationships with aggregators including partnership managers and state leaders
  • Internal decision making – contributing to discussions in Athena about opportunities and ways to improve
  • Policy: work with Cyber, Tech, Risk, and other functions to get to effective policy outcomes
  • Platform : provide feedback and ideas to help ensure that Athena platforms are the best in the market

Who we are looking for

You are based in VIC and have the following attributes:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar BDM role managing relationships with broker networks and individual brokers
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships – with brokers, credit teams and clients
  • Great focus on sales and conversion
  • Exceptional communication skills – clear, engaging, and professional
  • You're self motivated
  • You're focused on continuous development
  • You're a critical thinker and confident in decision making
