We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Savona team. In this role, you’ll help us build new relationships with the region's most premium restaurants and stores, acting as a founding member of our local presence in Liguria.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Regional Sales team, reporting to the Sales Lead. This is a rare opportunity to be a key driver for a well-funded, rapidly growing company, focusing on expanding our footprint by partnering with high-quality local merchants.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Strategic Prospecting: Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurants across Savona, acting as an area expert who knows the up-and-coming culinary trends and customer cravings.

  • Onboarding Excellence: Support new partners through the joining process, ensuring they have a seamless and positive experience as they launch on Deliveroo.

  • Consultative Selling: Engage with restaurant owners via physical visits, calls, and digital channels to demonstrate our technology and help them overcome barriers to entry.

  • Market Ambassadorship: Attend restaurant and food meet-ups to stay connected with the local industry and build a strong network of premium partners.

  • Deal Negotiation: Manage commercial discussions from start to finish, tailoring Deliveroo’s value proposition to meet the needs of diverse business owners.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Sales Experience: Significant experience in targeting new business with a proven ability to close deals in a competitive environment.

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong commercial acumen and the ability to navigate complex discussions to build win-win partnerships.

  • Communication: Exceptional confidence in dealing with partners face-to-face, over the phone, or via digital platforms.

  • Industry Knowledge: A deep interest in (or knowledge of) the restaurant and retail industry is a significant plus.

  • Tenacity: A resilient, self-starter mindset with the drive to succeed in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced setting.
