The Role

The role of a Business Development Manager is centered around strategic planning, relationship building, and driving business growth.

Business Development Manager will report into Plant Growth Manager.

Primary tasks of this role:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, identify and assess potential market opportunities, formulate and execute effective market entry strategies specially for the new market
  • Support Growth manager to establish and execute the growth strategy
  • Identify high-quality sales leads, convert mature business opportunities, and transfer them to the sales team for follow-up
  • Track industry trends and competitor activities
  • Adjust strategies based on market dynamics and organizational objectives
  • Provide input to product teams based on customer feedback and market demands
  • Create go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotional plans
  • Work with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement growth strategies and plan
  • Collaborate with other Business Areas to leverage their network and experience to explore new market
  • Enable Growth manager for quick response and decision making for business activities

Position qualifications:

  • Technical background with process safety, risk and reliability 
  • 10 to 20 years of working experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with, or using AI in business development activities
  • Experience with target setting and performance management from Business Development efforts
  • Ability to work closely with marketing teams to develop strong go-to-market strategies
  • Familiarity with pre-sales processes, including demo support
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Technical and industry regulatory knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Availability for some travelling.
