Sodexo is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our passionate team based in Perth WA. In this full-time, permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business growth across the Energy & Resources segment, building a strong pipeline of opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing clients. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing tailored solutions, and leading bid strategies that align with Sodexo’s vision for innovation and sustainability.

Your job will include but is not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities for the Energy & Resources segment
- Develop and maintain bid pipeline with prospect details entered into and managed within the sales system
- Build relationships and engage the right people within client organisations to build a clear picture of their business and their upcoming projects
- Assisting to create and develop key partnerships with clients, prospects, investors, suppliers and other industry stakeholders in developing new projects
- Developing and maintaining relations with partners who share a common business philosophy, focusing on strengthening our local reputation and credibility and contribute to business profitable growth
- Providing high level market intelligence using a systematic and value-based approach to identify opportunities, understand client key drivers and monitor key competitors
- Detailed market awareness and intelligence across Energy and Resources APAC
- Identifying and developing organic growth opportunities within existing contracts in partnership with key internal stakeholders
- Accountable for new sales, cross bids and rebids by preparing, presenting and managing responses to tenders and proposals to achieve new business development objectives
- Assisting in the development and implementation of strategic business plans, key initiatives and actions to achieve new business development targets
- Identifying, creating, testing and refining new products and concepts and marketing these innovations into new business opportunities.
- Preparing financial and commercial proposals which are compliant with all group policies in relation to finance procedures, capital expenditure and approval process
- Maintain ongoing client and internal after contract award through the project life cycle to build on Sodexos ‘clients for life’ philosophy
- Ensuring the establishment and growth of the Sodexo brand
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Hospitality and Facilities Management background would be advantageous
- Degree or post graduate qualification in Business/Marketing, Technical or a related commercial discipline
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of pitching for new business
- Active member and participant of selected industry associations, conferences and seminars
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and utilising business processes
- Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting complex tenders
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- An ability to understand a prospect's condition/situation through questioning and active listening
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills and previous exposure to Sales Force or a similar CRM tool
