Your role and responsibilities

Location: Global, TBD

Defines, plans, and ensures implementation of product marketing strategies for product line Grid Automation, covering Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED), Software, and Standardized Solutions, to meet business objectives, in line with global product strategy. Supports sales organizations in driving sales and services for the assigned products over the markets of responsibility in the Middle East & Africa (MEA). Scouts and onboards new Channel Partners and defines partner business plans.

  • Creates, plans and ensures implementation of the local go-to–market product strategy for product line Grid Automation, including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy.
  • Coordinates and drives Product Marketing Specialists within the Grid Automation community, to promote, specify and homologate Grid Automation products.
  • Scouts and onboards new Channel Partners, by promoting the Grid Automation Channel Partner Program and portfolio and defining partnership business plans.
  • Creates demand through technical promotion and opportunity identification, providing solutions and value base selling.
  • Evaluates market opportunities and proposes appropriate activities in line with Business Line Grid Components strategy.
  • Bridges the value chain between the Division Marketing & Sales and Factory Marketing & Sales, and acts on improving processes, focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Focuses on achievement of total demand orders (ABB and 3rd Party), growth margin %, net price variance, Net Promoter Score (NPS) and requested on-time delivery of assigned products.
  • Develops and implements annual marketing plan in conjunction with the Distribution Solutions Division and Grid Components Business Line plans (Game plans).
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Support Business Line market pricing policy for product line Grid Automation.
  • Guides and coordinates the activities of Product Marketing Specialists, within the Grid Automation community to implement product support and product training to ensure high customer satisfaction in cooperation with global Division Marketing and Sales functions.

Qualifications for the role

  • University degree in Electrical/Electronic/Automation/Software Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience, product marketing or product management in multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience with Grid Automation, Substation Automation and/or Protection Relays.
  • Knowledge of the Utility segment, both TSO and DSO.
  • Experience with multi-channel go to market, including channel partners.
  • Capability to work in an international environment with collaborative attitude.
