The primary role of the Business Development Manager  is to identify, recruit, and develop new Resale partners in their designated region, with the goal of building a solid partner base that generates a consistent pipeline of opportunities and growing new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) for the 8x8 cloud service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit new partners

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic partners to accelerate growth, expand market reach, and drive new revenue opportunities.

  • Qualify, negotiate contracts and business plans, assist in on-boarding, coordinate training, co-branding and joint marketing to drive new revenue on a consistent basis

  • Assist 8x8 account executives in their efforts to negotiate and close deals as needed

  • Manage partners' engagements with 8x8 to ensure they are well connected with 8x8s critical personnel including account executives, sales engineers, marketing, channel operations and executives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of total sales experience selling UCaaS, CCaaS and/or SaaS in a business to business model through channel partners

  • Demonstrable experience, knowledge, success and contacts in the channel partner community (Telecom - VARs, SIs, Agents, MSPs, etc.) including existing 8x8 partners and targeted partners for recruitment

  • Experience managing and growing business with channel partner relationships and recruiting/on-boarding new channel partners

  • Experience selling IP telephony, UCaaS, CCaaS and/or SaaS in the indirect channel

  • Collaborative, solutions, consultative selling

  • Experience selling to accounts up to 1000 users

  • Experience with SFDC and developing/managing metrics that measure partner progress with all aspects of their relationship with 8x8

  • Demonstrable ability to forecast key business parameters and effective report status to management, executives and peer groups

The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Salary Ranges:

$186,375.00 - $310,625.00
