This role

The Business Development Lead is responsible for ensuring the progressive development of each point of sale and business opportunity to achieve expected productivity, building and nurturing robust relationships with key retail partners and distributors. You will report to the Senior Commercial Manager and will work closely with the Sales team. You will have a huge opportunity to build the local commercial team environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective strategic plans, forecasts, and goals to achieve targeted revenue growth and market penetration with minimal risk, in coordination with Sales teams and other Internal teams.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with our commercial partners to drive growth in our distribution network.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Business Development Reps, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources to succeed.
  • Support the Sales team in all their business activities to optimize customer satisfaction, thereby enlarging the existing customer base, driving sales through our commercial partners.
  • Monitor competitor activities by obtaining information and market trends, opportunities, and challenges, leveraging insights to inform strategic decisions and action plans.
  • Generate sales reports and monitor key indicators that show the progress of the initiatives and provide clarity on the actions that need to be taken to meet the company's goals and objectives, such as campaigns, promotional materials, and generating business.

Requirements

  • Aligned with PayJoy’s principles and cultures;
  • MUST HAVE strong commercial acumen with a proven 4-5 years track record of closing, nurturing, and growing smartphone retailers and mobile network operators in the financing industry;
  • Professional experience leading a sales team and reporting to the executive team with a data-driven approach;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels in English and Indonesian;
  • Comfortable working on Google Suite (Sheet, Docs, Slides, etc.), CRM (Zoho & Zendesk), communication (Slack), data analytics, and project management tools (Hex and Jira);
  • Interested in growing your career as a business development professional;
  • Must be detail-oriented and process-oriented, and have experience working with robust SLAs; and
  • Previous technical experience is a plus.
