Job Description:
Responsible for selling new Large Employer business for Simplified Benefits Administrators. Develops close professional relationships with producers / brokers / consultants and works with them to sell new employer group business while prospecting direct business. Provides guidance to Account Managers as they assume renewal responsibilities for new groups.Schedule

Essential Functions
- Establishes relationships and works closely with outside consultants / agents / brokers in creating new large employer sales strategies. Provides education concerning products, policies and procedures.
- Meets sales goals by working with consultants / brokers / employers to prospect and provide competitive proposals for groups. Creates and delivers effective sales presentations to increase awareness and promote sales.
- Communicates consistently with brokers regarding prospective opportunities. Maintains prospect logs and all necessary data to facilitate new sales in Salesforce. Communicates regularly to Sales Leadership about new sales opportunities.
- Works as a liaison between the broker and underwriting. Establishes and maintains a mutually productive relationship with the underwriting department. Gains a thorough understanding of the underwriting process for both new and renewing groups.
- Keeps Sales Leadership apprised of broker issues, group assignments needed and other relevant information.
- Serves as a resource to Account Managers as they renew employer groups.
- Participates on assigned committees to provide market feedback and help shape policies and procedures. Provides ongoing feedback using market conditions, industry trends, and broker insight to assist strategic product development.
- Travels as required to further business and professional relationships.
- Full-time position, 8am – 5pm workday, with additional hours as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or four years experience in health insurance, management, marketing or sales. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

- Four years of experience in health insurance, management, marketing or sales.
- and –
- Five years of health insurance industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current resident insurance agent/consultant license (in the state of practice). If incumbent does not have the license they must acquire licensure within three months of date of hire to remain in the job. Additional licensing may be required in other states where Select Health is located.
- Health Insurance Sales experience with Self-funding, Underwriting knowledge.
- Knowledge of Colorado health insurance landscape, existing Producer relationships, proven selling ability
- Highly effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly effective selling skills.
- Strong team leadership skills and the ability to gain the support of individuals and departments contributing to sales-related company objectives and goals.
