Job Description

Join Our Expanding Sales Team!

Wavenet is a vibrant and fast-paced technology and communications provider dedicated to innovation and inclusivity. We are looking for an ambitious and results-oriented Business Development Director with specialised knowledge in the public sector to drive new business initiatives within our growing Public Sector sales team.

In this 100% new business-focused role, you will work remotely with the support of a high-performing team, taking full ownership of identifying and converting opportunities within a defined vertical. Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business exclusively within a targeted vertical.
  • Develop and manage a personal 30-60-90 day success plan tailored to your pipeline.
  • Define and maintain a rolling list of 100 prospects in your vertical and product area.
  • Utilise HubSpot for activity management, forecasting, and campaign execution.
  • Collaborate with your team on joint campaigns and innovative go-to-market strategies.
  • Create vertical-specific content to support our marketing efforts.
  • Lead marketing initiatives such as webinars, roundtables, and events focused on your vertical.
  • Identify and engage early-stage opportunities and work with suppliers to enhance solution alignment.
  • Navigate public sector governance to effectively position Wavenet’s unique differentiators.

Qualifications

The Successful Candidate

  • Proven track record in new business sales, with a knack for opening doors and fostering conversations within your vertical.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks (e.g., RM6116 NS3, RM6100 TS3, YPO, G-Cloud).
  • Proficient with profiling and prospecting tools like Sales Navigator, Cognism, and HubSpot.
  • Experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns and events aligned with Wavenet’s offerings (Cyber, Cloud, UC, CCaaS, Networking, etc.).
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills, particularly in bid submissions.
  • Strong ability to manage sales processes across the entire cycle effectively.
