General Purpose:
The Business Development Coordinator supports the needs of the Intellectual Property & Patent Systems Group and/or region(s) with direction from the Business Development Manager. The Business Development Coordinator helps the team to achieve its short-term and long-term goals through a commitment to excellence in work product and services.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Marketing:
- Under the direction of Business Development Manager, assists in preparation of marketing/sales collateral for meetings, pitches, and proposal opportunities with prospective and current clients; regularly analyze and review collateral to ensure effective and consistent messaging on practice/industry/geographic and firmwide levels; maintain library of up-to-date collateral.
- Under supervision of Business Development Manager, coordinate, track, and monitor sponsorships and advertising needs associated with practice and industry groups, including tracking expenses to help measure Return on Investment (ROI).
- Create a tracking system to monitor attorney memberships in professional organizations.
- Collaborate with leadership and communications team to draft and maintain attorney biographies.
- Draft content for website, digital marketing campaigns, event invitations, etc.
Business Development:
- Coordinate with team members to identify research needs and assist with conducting market research and develop competitive intelligence for prospective and current clients
- Assist in compilation of content, including drafting new content to showcase firm’s capabilities in formal Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
- Track progress of RFP responses and pitches using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
Communications:
- Assist with calendaring and developing social media posts.
- Help guide attorneys with LinkedIn posts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create and distribute client alerts, invitations, and firm announcements.
- Assist with creation of award, survey, and legal directory submissions (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, local award programs such as 40 Under 40, etc.).
Event Support:
- Work with team leadership to facilitate events, including webinars, conferences/tradeshows, seminars, client entertainment, client receptions - including maintaining timelines and checklists, venue logistics, invitation development, RSVP tracking, internal communications, preparing event materials, set-up, booth management, catering, logistics and follow-up.
- Coordinate with Continuing Legal Education team to ensure accreditation of various client-focused learning events.
- Assist in creation of tailored signage and other collateral for events.
- Coordinate with Information Technology team to ensure audiovisual and communication requirements are fulfilled.
- Coordinate with outside vendors.
Administrative:
- Coordinate meetings, video conferences, etc., working with team members across the firm for in-house events as needed.
- Coordinate and process marketing and business development expenses; manage check request process.
- Ensure CRM data is current and accurate, including tracking marketing and business development activities and managing campaign lists.
- Update database to track matter outcomes.
- Perform additional duties and tasks assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the firm’s overall objectives.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business administration/management preferred.
- Two (2) years of marketing and/or business development experience required. Experience within a law firm or other professional services environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Experience with Microsoft Copilot and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize work assignments under tight deadlines and make independent decisions critical to job success.
- Team-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to build credibility and productive relationships across the firm.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a professional attitude.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Work Environment:
Professional office atmosphere. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing for prolonged periods. Schedule:
At this time, this position allows for a hybrid schedule, generally in-office two to three days per week. Additional days in-office may be required depending on business need and the demands of specific tasks. The hybrid work structure may change at any time, including the number of in-office days requirement.
Compensation:Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. The Colorado salary range is $26.15 to $43.58 per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
