JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Development Consultants primary responsibility would be to make calls to Financial Advisors with the goal of scheduling or completing demos of our digital insurance platform and finding leads/setting appointments for our sales team. This is largely an outbound calling position with the expectation of 75+ calls per day. Expected to be courteous, responsive, and professional in helping advisors navigate and use the Covr platform. 
This position is expected to work in our Hartford office. For the right person, the hybrid option of working from home 1 day per week and in the office 4 days is available upon successful completion of training.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Outbound calling campaigns- Make calls to our Financial Advisors with the goal of scheduling or completing platform demos and finding leads/setting appointments for our sales team.
  • Performs demos of our quoting platform over zoom and makes referrals to our Regional Insurance Consultants and/or Internal Wholesalers.
  • Schedules appointments with Financial Advisors for our sales team.
  • Answers inbound phone queue to answer questions, assist & direct financial advisors.
  • Guides financial advisors on the use of the Covr digital insurance platform.
  • Becomes an expert on Firm rules and how each version of our platform works.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Life Insurance or Finance service experience a plus but will train the right person
  • Heavy customer service via phone a plus
  • Life and health insurance license or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Persistent marketer with proven track record of high performance/activity 
  • Strong customer service skills with a strong positive phone presence
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to build phone-based relationships 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task without losing focus.
  • Must be a self-starter and ability to learn independently through experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Comfortable with routine, repetitive tasks
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
  • Ability to articulate message quickly and effectively over the phone
