Business Development
· Identify, assess and pursue new business opportunities in support of
premium and revenue growth objectives.
· Build and expand relationships with existing clients, prospective
customers, brokers and other stakeholders.
· Support customer retention, cross-selling and upselling initiatives
across appropriate insurance products and services.
· Conduct market research, monitor emerging trends and provide relevant
insights to support business decisions.
· Assist with the planning and execution of approved marketing, outreach
and business development initiatives.

Client Relationship Management
· Maintain regular and professional contact with clients to strengthen
relationships and understand their evolving needs.
· Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests,
coordinating with internal teams where necessary.
· Assist with the timely resolution of customer concerns and complaints,
ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation.
· Promote a consistent, courteous and customer-focused experience at
every point of contact.

Service Standard and Customer Service Experience
· Monitor response and turnaround times for assigned client matters and
follow through to completion.
· Support adherence to established service-level standards and customer
service procedures.
· Work collaboratively with departments and branches to improve
consistency in service delivery.
· Promote a customer-centric culture and identify practical
opportunities to improve the client experience.

Operational Support, Reporting and Continuity
· Maintain accurate and current prospect, client, activity and follow-up
records.
· Prepare periodic sales, pipeline, client engagement and performance
reports as required.
· Support branch and departmental business development initiatives and
provide coverage for critical client engagement activities when
required.
· Facilitate appropriate knowledge transfer and maintain organized
records to reduce key-person dependency and support business
continuity.
· Carry out other related duties that are reasonably assigned and
consistent with the purpose of the role.
- Maintain an up-to-date prospect and client pipeline showing opportunities, next actions, expected value, status and anticipated conversion dates.
- Submit a weekly activity update covering client contacts, prospecting, opportunities generated, follow-ups, outstanding matters and upcoming priorities.
- Prepare a monthly report covering new business, premium or revenue contribution, pipeline movement, conversion, retention, cross-selling, service issues and market observations.
- Provide quarterly trend analysis and recommendations on growth opportunities, customer feedback, service performance and stakeholder engagement.
- Promptly escalate significant complaints, service delays, reputational concerns, compliance issues or material business risks.
- Ensure all reports and supporting records are accurate, complete and submitted by established deadlines.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in business development, sales, client relationship management or customer service.
- Insurance or financial services experience would be an asset.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to attend client meetings or business events would be an asset.
Skills Required
- Associate's degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, marketing, insurance, management, or a related discipline
- Complete Insurance certification (CII) within two years
- Relevant experience in business development, sales, client relationship management, or customer service
- Insurance or financial services experience
- Valid driver's license and willingness to attend client meetings or business events
