The Business Development Associate is responsible for cold calling new potential prospective clients, prospect leads gone cold, or web leads. Provides prospective customers/clients with basic information of services offered and generates “first” call scheduled for our Managing Directors. The Business Development Associate will be providing support in processing new business leads and may be responsible for scheduling follow-up.Core Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Identify business opportunities and develop leads. Goal of setting the first meeting touchpoint with prospective clients.
- Communicates business value proposition to prospective clients, leveraging resources shared by our Distribution team
- Develop a basic understanding of competitors, their offerings, and strategies.
- Become knowledgeable about our business, processes and sales tools, and remain up to date on industry news.
- Proactively develop connections with new prospects and actively build existing relationships.
- Monitor the sales lead process for the team, ensuring leads are assigned and executed against in a timely manner; tracked and monitored in Salesforce CRM.
- Conduct outreach to prospects to coordinate meetings with Sales Team (through any media channel necessary—i.e., email, phone, direct mail, social, live, creative personalized outreach)
- Manage the use of Salesforce.com across Sales Team—as a data repository, reporting tool, and forecasting tool—to manage customer relationships and active sales.
- Review and understand new opportunities that separate us from the competition.
- Support prospect communications and relationships through identified key decision makers in CRM and other tools in the sales technology stack.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications required, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with CRM and/or other data management systems.
- Excellent verbal communication and strong writing skills.
- Demonstrates professionalism in communications including over telephone.
- Possess proven researching abilities.
