The Business Development Associate will work closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams to support Finbloom’s growth, strategic partnerships, digital lending products, and market expansion. The role combines business development, market research, financial services strategy, partnership development, product development, and execution.

The ideal candidate should be commercially minded, analytical, proactive, and execution-driven, with an interest in financial services, fintech, lending, digital products, and business strategy. The Associate will help identify new opportunities, develop partnerships, support the design of technology-enabled lending solutions, and translate strategic priorities into actionable business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the CEO to translate Finbloom’s strategic priorities into actionable business plans and growth initiatives.
  • Identify and develop relationships with fintech companies, financial institutions, employers, merchants, distributors, digital platforms, and other ecosystem partners.
  • Develop partnership proposals, commercial structures, business cases, and presentations for potential partners and clients.
  • Support commercial negotiations and the execution of partnership agreements.
  • Conduct market and business research to identify opportunities for growth, new products, partnerships, and market expansion.
  • Research customer needs, competitors, pricing, industry trends, and emerging opportunities within the digital lending and financial services sector.
  • Identify commercially viable lending products and customer segments, including opportunities in embedded lending, merchant financing, salary-backed lending, and SME financing.
  • Support the development of technology-enabled lending products in collaboration with technology partners and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the development of an API-driven product strategy that enables Finbloom’s products to integrate with relevant third-party platforms.
  • Develop business cases for proposed products, including market opportunity, target customers, pricing, expected revenue, and associated risks.
  • Work with Credit, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to develop appropriate product structures while ensuring alignment with approved risk and credit parameters.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Finbloom’s lending portfolio while maintaining appropriate credit and risk considerations.
  • Support the development and implementation of customer acquisition strategies across digital and traditional channels.
  • Monitor customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and portfolio growth metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and develop partnerships that can expand Finbloom’s customer reach and lending opportunities.
  • Develop and implement structured business development and sales plans.
  • Generate, qualify, and maintain prospective customer, partner, and business leads.
  • Participate in client meetings, partner engagements, presentations, negotiations, and other commercial activities.
  • Support the CEO in coordinating day-to-day execution of strategic initiatives across different business functions.
  • Develop, review, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and operational processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, improved efficiency, and better execution across business operations.
  • Track and report on the progress of business development initiatives, partnerships, product opportunities, and other strategic projects.
  • Perform other business development, strategy, and commercial duties as assigned by management.
