Summary:

At NewLane Finance, we believe growth is earned through disciplined execution, relentless prospecting, and strategic partnerships. We are seeking a high-performing sales hunter who thrives on building new relationships, opening doors, and winning business that others can’t.

The Strategic Account Acquisition Manager is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new vendor partnerships that generate significant equipment finance volume. This role is dedicated exclusively to new business development and is designed for individuals who are energized by prospecting, developing executive relationships, and closing strategic opportunities.

Success requires a disciplined sales process, exceptional communication skills, and the persistence to create opportunities where none currently exist. This is not an account management position—it is a strategic acquisition role focused on expanding NewLane’s national vendor portfolio and accelerating long-term growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute a disciplined new business acquisition strategy targeting manufacturers, distributors, dealers, and strategic equipment providers.
  • Prospect daily through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Build relationships with executive decision-makers including owners, presidents, CFOs, CEOs, and sales leaders.
  • Identify prospective vendor partners that align with NewLane’s strategic growth initiatives.
  • Lead the complete sales cycle from initial outreach through signed partnership and successful implementation.
  • Deliver consultative presentations that demonstrate how NewLane’s financing solutions help vendors increase sales, improve customer retention, and create competitive advantage.
  • Partner with Credit, Operations, Legal, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to successfully launch new vendor programs.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities with accurate forecasting and CRM discipline.
  • Represent NewLane at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed new vendor acquisition, pipeline, and new business volume objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of successful business development or major account acquisition experience.
  • Equipment finance, commercial finance, banking, capital equipment, or B2B channel sales experience preferred.
  • Proven history of acquiring new business through self-generated prospecting.
  • Demonstrated success selling to executive decision-makers.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • High proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Our best performers are:

  • Relentless hunters who embrace prospecting.
  • Competitive professionals who enjoy winning.
  • Self-starters with high energy and resilience.
  • Accountable individuals who own their results.
  • Strategic thinkers who can create long-term partnerships.
  • Team players who value collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Creating new opportunities every week.
  • Building relationships with executive decision-makers.
  • Generating a healthy, self-sourced sales pipeline.
  • Winning strategic vendor partnerships.
  • Delivering predictable new business volume.
  • Executing with discipline, urgency, and accountability.
