Main duties and responsibilities
• Local data quality: control and cleaning process to create and implement with sales and merchant support teams
• Creation of reports in Microstrategy for the sales teams, to analyse Global Blue brands sales performance per nationality, cities, profiles, and so on. Proficiency in Microstrategy and Dossier (visualization tool of Microstrategy) is a must.
• Support commercial team in preparing client meetings with brands' sales performance analysis and insights
• Support CVC team in preparing market insight for the event and whitepaper.
• Create a monthly report for the Executive Japan team & sales team on business trends, using external data (tourists arrivals, flights projections, hotel bookings, FX evolution, economic news) as well as key Tax Free Shopping trends observed
• Support in some data-technical meeting with merchants, to udnerstand clients' requests and collaborate with central team for requests regarding: Tableau (tool used by our Department Store clients) dashboard evolutions, MFT file exchange structuration and run
• Collaborate with the central BI team for more adnaced advisory studies requested by merchants; and structure/share with central BI teams data/BI needs of the Japan local market
Background and Education
• BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years in product management or consulting in the data world with extensive hands on experience across multiple BI platforms, databases and reporting technologies.
Specific skills and knowledge
• Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling / mapping, methodology development and data modelling
• Proven ability to manage, transform and extract large volumes of data
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL for data extraction and manipulation are mandatory
• Basic knowledge of data science tools like R / Python is a plus
• BI Reporting tools: MicroStrategy and Tableau preferred
• Experience in managing or activating Data governance policies is a plus
• Ability to connect directly with Business counterparts (commercial, Finance, other product functions) to understand and formalize their needs
• Advanced mastery of Office tools especially Excel
• Native or close to native in Japanese, Fluency in English is required
